850 KOA Denver CO

A big surprise was waiting for me when I got home after a weekend in Stockholm. The CE at KOA sent me a verification letter, after 462 days, on my October 23 2004 reception of the station. I was pleaseantly surprised to say the least.

PAX65 log updated

I have checked all SDR recordings and now I will start to review my MD-recordings(about 10 hours) so I should be finished with PAX65 in a couple of days.

Yet another log update

Added a few new log entries. I have about 20 hours worth of recordings left to check. My weekend is booked so there may not be any uppdate of the log until after the weekend. I have to make some preparations for the activities that will take place.

PAX65 update

I have reviwed some of the recordings from the 5:th of October. I might have to adjust my opinion on the outcome of the expedition from dissapointing to fairly good :-)
I have been very lucky with stations id:ing at short fade-ins, slight disturbances have dissapeared just in time TOH id etc. On other expeditions I have not been so lucky so I guess it was my turn this time.

I have noted the following new one's:

820 KUTR Taylorsville UT
1340 KLKI Anacortes WA

PAX65 log, first draft

The log consists of stations that I heard live and made notes of while I was at the expedition site. I have only reviewed some of the recordings. I would like to mention 1230 XEEX Culiacán SN, once again HK helped out with dentification.

PAX65

Returned home yesterday after being in Parka for the weekend. The propagation was a bit disappointing but I managed to bag a few new one's. I have not reviewed the recordings and hopefully I will find some new stations there.
The SDR-14 performed very well. I compared it to my NRD-515 and found the SDR-14 to not quite match my NRD for clarity and sensitivity but they are almost neck and neck. It has to be said that this only occured a few times, for the most part the receivers performed equally. I have managed to work out almost all of my earlier complaints. I also figured out a few new features while using the machine in a real live situation.
I will publish a first log as soon as possible.
